Upon referral of a client from an accountant to the NNA/NNAIA, an NNA lead advisor will consult with clients to determine their overall financial picture and investment needs. The lead advisor will utilize a team of specialists and third party investment managers to develop a comprehensive financial plan or investment plan for the client. Various planning options and options for implementation are presented.
Our primary investing philosophy features an institutional style of portfolio management. Portfolio construction is derived from the pioneering work of Harry Markowitz (who won the Nobel Prize for his efforts) in developing Modern Portfolio Theory, which emphasizes the use of non-correlated asset classes and diversification in creating risk/return optimal portfolios.
Once a plan is constructed, it can be put in motion using a third party vendor or through one of our directly managed account programs.
The NNAIA also provides web-based client account aggregation and total financial picture monitoring services, which allow clients and their advisors to access up-to-date information on their financial plan, and all of their financial accounts (held at any location with any firm) in one place through their own secure internet site.
